COMFORT TOUCH A light, restorative massage intended to soothe and comfort. Lifts the mood, calms the nervous system, and enhances deeper breathing. $60 for one hour
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE Deep Tissue Massage is different from a relaxing massage because the aim is to reduce stiffness and pain in muscles already irritable and sensitive. The patient guides an acceptable level of pressure. The practice is both corrective and therapeutic, releasing chronic muscle patterns and toxins created by injury, illness and stress. Excellent for recovery from a variety of conditions that have caused muscles to become short and tight. $60 for one hour
ORTHOPEDIC MASSAGE Orthopedic massage helps relieve chronic pain emphasizing the underlying cause of pathology in each condition. It is considered a more “medical” form of massage and is not intended to be soothing, although many people find it deeply relaxing. Deep tissue massage focuses on the body’s deeper muscles and connective tissue. A variety of massage strokes reopen injured muscles, returning them to more normal function. Nerves trapped in soft tissue can cause burning, searing pain similar to the pain of sciatica. Orthopedic massage is an excellent technique for such conditions as well. $60 for one hour
RELAXATION MASSAGE Soothing massage strokes trigger the healing response, reducing muscle tension and associated discomfort. Restores a calm mind and a feeling of well-being. Enhances tissue flexibility and elasticity. Slows pulse and respiration. Improves circulation of blood and lymph which promotes well nourished and healthy skin. $60 for one hour
SPORTS MASSAGE Combines different massage techniques to enhance performance and recuperation. Pre and post-event massage is an effective component of any training program. Stretches muscle and enhances range of motion. Shortens recovery time of muscle strains by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid and other metabolic waste. $65 for one hour
STONE THERAPY The body is massaged with heated stones held in the palm of the massage practitioner’s hand. The warmth relaxes muscles in a deeply satisfying way. Excellent for arthritic pain as well as the discomfort of chronic stress. $65 for one hour
CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY The cranio-sacral system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid which nourish the brain and spinal cord. The client remains fully clothed while the therapist lightly palpates the body, evaluating and enhancing the cranio-sacral system. This is a gentle and effective approach to healing the mind, body, and spirit that often results in release of emotional memories and patterns as well as an increased sense of well being. $60 for one hour
REFLEXOLOGY Massage to stimulate specific points on the hands and feet that correspond to various glands, organs, and body parts. Reflexology aids the body in returning to a balanced state of equilibrium where circulation can flow unimpeded and organs function normally. $60 for one hour, or may be combined with another therapy.
REIKI The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words which mean “spiritually guided life force energy.” Our therapists are trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho method and hold positions of “fourth from Master Takata” who westernized Reiki in the United States. Reiki is a non-invasive Japanese energy technique for relaxation and healing that is administered by the “laying on of hands” while the client remains fully clothed. Its beneficial effects may include deep relaxation, reduction of stress, release of pain or discomfort and a balancing of energy. $60 for one hour
WORKPLACE MASSAGE More and more employers are recognizing that massage can reduce the physical and mental effects of stress, thus reducing burnout and boosting employee productivity and morale. The employee is seated in a specially designed chair which allows the massage practitioner to work on the back, neck, shoulders and arms. No oils are used and the employee is fully clothed. Appointments may be scheduled around, used as a perk, or as a reward for meeting deadlines, etc. PLEASE CALL FOR QUOTE.
Massage appointments are available for 30-minute, 60-minute, 90-minute, and 120-minute sessions.
